Sitakund Kamil M.A Madrasah, nestled along the Dhaka-Chattogram Trunk Road on the banks of Sitakund's historic Laldigi pond, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Islamic educational institutions of Chattogram, Bangladesh.

Founded in 1886 by the visionary scholar Maulana Obaidul Haq (R.) — born in Barbakund, Sitakund on 8 June 1856 — the institution survived two communal arson attacks in its early years and rose to become a landmark of Islamic learning. After completing his religious studies in Kolkata, Maulana Obaidul Haq returned and dedicated his life to establishing this institution as a centre of both religious and modern education.

The Madrasah received permanent government recognition in 1967 and Kamil-level approval in 1986 — exactly 100 years after its founding. Over its history, it has produced scholars, educators, politicians, and community leaders who have left an indelible mark on society. The institution also established a Hafeziya Madrasah in 1976 and operates a full-fledged hostel for students from distant areas.
